The Dioscorea Elephantipes 'Mammoth Oerknol', commonly known as the Elephant's Foot or Tortoise Plant, is one of the most extraordinary and ancient-looking plants in the houseplant world. Its iconic, deeply fissured caudex — resembling the skin of an elephant or the shell of a tortoise — stores water and energy, making it a supremely drought-tolerant specimen. Slender vining stems emerge from the caudex during the growing season, adding a delicate contrast to its rugged base. A truly prehistoric and captivating collector's plant.

Care Guide:
