The Hanging Codonanthe Crassifolia is a wonderfully graceful and charmingly floriferous trailing gesneriad from the tropical forests of Central and South America, producing long, cascading stems densely clothed in small, thick, fleshy leaves of a rich, glossy deep green that spill beautifully from a hanging pot in a lush, trailing curtain of evergreen foliage of considerable elegance and decorative appeal. When in bloom it produces a succession of small, tubular white flowers with a delicate yellow throat that appear freely and repeatedly throughout the year, adding a wonderfully delicate and charming floral display to the already attractive trailing foliage. Surprisingly easy to care for and highly tolerant of drier conditions than many trailing plants, it is a superb and rewarding choice for bright hanging displays and elevated shelves.
