The Calathea Silver Plate is a wonderfully elegant and quietly spectacular calathea, producing large, broadly oval leaves of a luminous, silvery-green with a beautifully smooth, almost metallic upper surface that catches the light with a cool, polished sheen of quite exceptional refinement and decorative sophistication. The underside of each leaf is a rich, deep purple-burgundy that flashes with striking intensity whenever the leaves move, adding a wonderful element of surprise and drama to an already outstanding plant.
