Chunky Mix

A premium, free-draining houseplant mix created for plants that love plenty of airflow around their roots. Our Chunky Mix starts with our enriched Base Mix and is blended with additional worm castings, orchid bark, LECA, biochar, activated charcoal and plant grit. The combination creates an open, chunky structure that balances moisture retention with excellent drainage and aeration, helping reduce compaction around the root system.

Base Mix – provides a balanced foundation with moisture retention and aeration.
Worm Castings – adds organic matter and naturally occurring nutrients.
Orchid Bark – creates chunky structure and increased airflow around the roots.
LECA – improves drainage and helps maintain an open growing medium.
Biochar – a porous horticultural amendment that helps improve soil structure and supports nutrient and moisture retention.
Activated Charcoal – adds additional porosity and helps adsorb impurities within the growing medium.
Plant Grit – improves drainage and helps prevent the mix becoming overly compact.
