Hanging Aeschynanthus “Tiger” is a lush trailing houseplant with glossy green foliage and beautifully patterned, tiger-like blooms that bring a flash of tropical colour. Its cascading stems look their best spilling from a hanging pot or high shelf, where the foliage can tumble freely. Also known as a lipstick plant, it is a pet-friendly choice that rewards good light and consistent care with its distinctive flowers.

Care Guide:

Light: Bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning or evening sun can encourage flowering, but avoid harsh midday sunlight.
Water: Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. Keep lightly moist during active growth and reduce watering in winter.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, ideally 50% or above.
Temperature: 18-27°C. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Feeding: Feed every 3-4 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertiliser.
Soil: Use a loose, well-draining mix with houseplant compost, perlite and orchid bark.
