Alocasia Frydek makes a striking statement with velvety, deep-green arrow-shaped leaves traced with contrasting pale veins. Its sculptural foliage brings a lush tropical feel to a bright plant corner, where each new leaf is worth watching unfold. This beauty appreciates consistent warmth, humidity and attentive watering rather than a hands-off care routine.

Care Guide

Light: Bright, indirect light. Protect from harsh direct sunshine.

Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry. Keep the mix lightly moist during active growth, never waterlogged. Reduce watering when growth slows.

Humidity: Prefers high humidity, ideally around 60% or above, with good airflow.

Temperature: Ideally 18–27°C. Keep away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes.

Feeding: Feed with a diluted balanced houseplant fertiliser during active growth in spring and summer, following the product instructions. Pause feeding during dormancy.

Soil: Use a moisture-retentive but airy, well-draining aroid mix with bark and perlite, in a pot with drainage holes.
